Why is World Environment Day celebrated only on June 5?
The foundation of celebrating Environment Day was laid in 1972 when the United Nations celebrated the first Environment Day and announced to celebrate this day every year. The first environmental conference was celebrated on June 5, 1972, in which 119 countries participated. The conference was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The United Nations General Assembly designated 5 June as Environment Day, marking the first day of the Stockholm Conference on Human Environment.

Pollution is spreading rapidly across the world. Nature is in danger due to increasing pollution. Nature provides everything necessary for living beings. In such a situation, if nature is affected, life will be affected. Environment Day was started to save nature from pollution.
