New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always concerned about disaster management. They also anticipate disaster. With the forecast of Prime Minister Modi's weather, India is now able to fight the natural disaster in a better way.

On Wednesday, Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai was addressing a program in the capital Delhi on the occasion of the 16th Foundation Day of the NDRF i.e. National Disaster Response Force. Meanwhile, while congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for efficient management during the natural disaster, Nityanand Rai even said that PM Modi can predict the disaster in advance from his practical experience. This is the good fortune of the country.

According to the Minister of State for Home, in 2016, Prime Minister Modi gave a ten-point agenda for disaster management. This agenda included reviewing every disaster as well as studying it. He said that the loss of life and property due to natural disasters has reached a minimum level due to the formation of NDRF. In the coming time, five additional battalions of NDRF have also been approved by the government so that NDRF will be ready to help the countrymen in any kind of disaster.

New Uniform Launch

On the occasion of the 16th Foundation Day, the Minister of State for Home Affairs launched the new uniform (uniform) of the NDRF. Now NDRF personnel will appear in the same uniform. Speaking on the occasion, NDRF DG SN Pradhan said that the year 2020 was extremely challenging for the force. On the one hand, the soldiers had to deal with Corona, on the other hand, they had to fight cyclone and storm, and on the other hand. Last year i.e. in 2020, the NDRF saved hundreds of lives by performing 998 operations against cyclones, storms, floods, and other humanitarian disasters.

Let us tell you that NDRF was established in the year 2005 after the major damage to the country due to tsunami. So far, soldiers from the second para-military force and central police forces have come on deputation in NDRF, but now the government has approved direct recruitment for NDRF. Apart from this, recruitment of women has also started.
