G20: PM addressed the conference on women's empowerment, and said - When women are empowered then the world is empowered

The G-20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment is being organized under the Indian Presidency in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, which will run from August 2 to 4. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani is presiding over this three-day conference. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed this conference through video conferencing. PM Modi said that when women are empowered, the world is empowered.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is making progress in women's empowerment. With women, the world is richer. 46 percent of elected officials are women. More than 80 percent of nurses and midwives in India are women. Further said that Gandhi ji's spinning wheel was also given to a woman named Ganga Ben. When women are empowered, the world is empowered. Economic empowerment promotes development.

She further said that women's access to education drives global progress, their leadership fosters inclusivity and their voices inspire positive change. Along with this, PM Modi said that the President of India is also a great example of this. She comes from a humble tribal background and is now leading the world's largest democracy and serving as the Commander in Chief of the world's second-largest security force. In the mother of this democracy, everyone, from the very beginning, has got the right to vote equally.

  Addressing the G20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment, PM Modi said that today more women than men are enrolling in higher education. In India, civil aviation has the highest percentage of women pilots and the Indian Air Force now has women pilots flying fighter aircraft. Women officers are being deployed in operational roles.
