Prime Minister Modi left on Tuesday on a two-day visit to the Russian city of Kazan to attend the annual summit of the BRICS group. During this, the Prime Minister said that the expansion of BRICS with the addition of new members last year has increased its inclusiveness and agenda for global betterment.
PM Modi said that he is hopeful about a wide-ranging discussion on various topics at the summit. He said, 'India values close cooperation within BRICS which has emerged as an important platform for dialogue and discussion on issues related to the global developmental agenda, multilateralism, climate change, economic cooperation, building resilient supply chains, cultural and people-to-people links, etc. I am also looking forward to meeting other BRICS leaders.'
