Aam Aadmi Party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting was held. In this, a decision was taken to strengthen the organization. It was agreed to appoint in-charges in four states. Gopal Rai has been made in-charge in Gujarat, Durgesh Pathak co-in-charge, Pankaj Gupta in-charge in Goa, Manish Sisodia in-charge and Satendra Jain co-in-charge in Punjab, Sandeep Pathak has been made in-charge for Chhattisgarh. Saurabh Bhardwaj has been made the president of Delhi and Mehraj Malik has been given the responsibility for Jammu and Kashmir.
AAP MP Sandeep Pathak said, "Many decisions were taken in the meeting of the party's Political Affairs Committee today. Gopal Rai has been made in-charge of Gujarat. Pankaj Gupta has been made in-charge of Goa. Manish Sisodia has been made in charge of Punjab and I have been made in charge of Chhattisgarh. Saurabh Bhardwaj has been appointed the head of the party's Delhi unit and Mehraj Malik has been appointed the head of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit."
After being elected as the party president of Delhi, Saurabh Bhardwaj said, "About half of the population of Delhi voted for us (AAP) in the elections. Along with these voters, we also have to take care of those who voted for BJP thinking that they will get Rs 2500 and gas cylinders. We will strengthen the party and I believe that it is easiest to build an organization after losing. The one who stays with you even at the time of the party's defeat is pure gold."
On his appointment as the in-charge of Punjab, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "Arvind Kejriwal has ordered me to work as the in-charge of Punjab on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party. I can say from the experience of the last few days that the way the people of Punjab gave Arvind Kejriwal a chance 3 years ago, a lot of work has been done in Punjab since then...
So much work has never been done before in the history of Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has done very good work... As the in-charge of AAP in Punjab, my effort will be that the people of Punjab can see a changing Punjab."
AAP leader Gopal Rai on his appointment as Gujarat in-charge said, "Today the party has decided that the work of organisational expansion will be accelerated across the country. The party is focusing on working in those states where elections are going to be held and the party will contest the elections with full strength"
