Monsoon winds have entered Gujarat via the Konkan Coast. Due to this, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning along with heavy rains in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat.

 

Orange alert issued in 16 states

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for rain in 15 states of the country. There are chances of heavy to very heavy rains in some areas here. There is also a possibility of thunder, lightning, and storm. The list of these states includes Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha.

 

Yellow alerts were issued in 13 states

 

Yellow alert for rain has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Assam, Meghalaya, Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. There is a possibility of light rain and cloudy weather in most areas of these states.

 

How will the weather be in Delhi?

 

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Delhi and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at these places. During this time, winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 kilometers per hour and clouds will remain.
