The university has been envisioned as a cooperation between India and East Asia Summit (EAS) countries. Many eminent people including heads of missions of 17 countries will attend the ceremony. The new campus of Nalanda has two academic blocks with 40 classrooms. It can accommodate 1,900 people. It has two auditoriums with a capacity of 300 seats.
