Prince Philip Death: Prince Philip II's husband Prince Philip died at age 99

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 99. The Roy Family said in a statement that it is to be informed with deep sorrow that the Queen's husband Prince Philip - Duke of Edinburgh has passed away. He breathed his last at Windsor Castle this morning.

 

 

June 10 would have been Prince Philip's 100th birthday. Prince Philip was born on 10 June 1921 on the Greek island of Corfu.

 

 

In February, Prince Philip was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Here he was treated for infection and cardiovascular disease. Later in March, Prince Elizabeth II's husband Prince Philip (99) was discharged from the hospital.

When Philip's parents separated in childhood, his father spent much of his time in the south of France; His mother, after suffering from mental illness, was forced to remain in a hospital for several years before returning to Greece. He began spending more time with his mother's brother, George, the Marquis of Milford Haven. When Marquis died of cancer in 1938, Philip found a new mentor in Mountbatten, his mother's second brother, Lewis Mountbatten, future Earl of Burma. Following in his grandfather's footsteps, the young Prince Philip was sent to the Royal Naval Academy in Dartmouth and joined the British Navy. Philippe served with distinction in a marvelous naval career, including service during World War II.
