Meaning of declaring disaster-hit: DC will be able to make a decision at his own level, and more funds are expected

Declaring the state as disaster-hit means that now all the districts are affected by floods, under which the DC can make decisions at his own level to deal with the disaster. This will speed up emergency services. Also, the state can get an additional package from the Centre. NDRF and SDRF teams are deployed on a large scale. A special package can be prepared for rebuilding roads, schools, hospitals, and restoring agricultural land. Special relief can be given to farmers.
