Border 2 actor Varun Dhawan recently found himself embroiled in controversy. A video of the actor doing pull-ups in the Mumbai Metro went viral, prompting the Maharashtra Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) to object and issue a warning to Varun Dhawan. It was also reported that the actor was fined ₹500 for violating metro rules.
This video of Varun Dhawan in the Mumbai Metro quickly went viral on the internet, leading to significant trolling. The Border 2 actor's team has now issued a statement clarifying the situation.
No fine imposed on Varun Dhawan
According to an NDTV report, the Border 2 actor's team released a statement saying, "We would like to clarify the news related to Varun Dhawan and the Mumbai Metro. We want to make it clear that Varun Dhawan has not been fined. The previous post issued by the authorities has been removed. We are grateful for their cooperation in resolving this misunderstanding. Varun Dhawan respects the city's rules and the efforts of the metro department. We are happy to announce that there are no pending issues, and we thank the media for sharing this accurate information."
Varun receiving immense praise for Border 2
Regarding Varun Dhawan's films, when the trailer and songs of his war drama film 'Border 2' were released, the actor's acting skills were questioned. However, he handled the trolling with grace. When the film was released in theaters on January 23rd, even the trolls were impressed by his performance and praised the actor.
In 'Border 2', directed by Anurag Singh, Varun Dhawan plays the role of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, who displayed immense courage during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. He appeared as an officer of the 3rd Grenadiers Regiment of the Indian Army. Border 2 is performing exceptionally well at the box office.
