Ramadan Kareem 2023: The month of Ramadan will start on March 24, and the moon of Eid will not be seen anywhere in India; MCC announcement

Lucknow's Markji Chand Committee (MCC) announced on Wednesday that the month of Ramzan will begin this Friday, but this time the Eid moon will not be visible anywhere in India. Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali told news agency ANI that the moon of Eid was not sighted on March 22, 2023, so the first fast of Ramzan will be observed from Friday, March 24.

 

According to the belief of Muslim society, the Islamic calendar runs based on the phases of the moon, so the date of Roza is changed every year. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, an organization of Indian Muslim scholars, announced the beginning of the month of Ramadan on Friday, March 24.

 

Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali also urged the Muslim community to take care of each other's religious sentiments coinciding with the Hindu festival of Navratri. He said, 'I urge brothers and sisters to observe Roza along with their family members for the betterment, prosperity, and progress of the country. The Islamic Center of India has also issued a guideline for the people observing Roza this month. All religious sentiments should be respected.

 

Let us tell you that the moon of Eid of Ramadan is first seen in Saudi Arabia and parts of India as well as some western countries and usually a day later, in the rest of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other countries.
