Ratan Tata received Australia's highest civilian award, the foreign ambassador said - had a deep impact on relations

Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Sons, has been awarded the Order of Australia (AO), Australia's highest honor. Australia's Ambassador to India Barry O'Farrell announced this on Twitter. From Australia, Tata has been given for his efforts in strengthening India-Australia bilateral relations.

 

A photo was shared of the Australian Ambassador felicitating Ratan Tata with the award and said that Tata's contribution to the island nation will live on for a long time.

 

The Australian Ambassador wrote in his tweet that Ratan Tata is a veteran of business, industry, and philanthropy, and his contribution has made a significant impact not only in India but also in Australia. Ratan Tata is delighted to be awarded the Order of Australia (AO) in recognition of his long-standing commitment to Australian and Indian relations.

 

Ratan Tata played a big role in bilateral relations

Ratan Tata, 85, played a major role in the 2 India-Australia economic cooperation and trade agreement in 2022. The Australia unit of Tata Group company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employs around 17,000 employees. This is the largest number of employees working in any Indian company in Australia.

 

Ratan Tata has been honored with Padma Vibhushan

Ratan Tata's works are seen with great respect in India. In 2008, he has also been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award by the Government of India. In October 2022, Tata was given the 'Seva Ratna' award by Seva Bharti, an RSS-affiliated organization.
