On the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Foreign Ministry Secretary Ausaf Sayeed on Monday said that during this period mutual warmth and friendship between the two countries have strengthened. He said that only three days after India got independence on August 15, 1947, both countries had established formal relations.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Egyptian President Abdel Fattah as the chief guest for the Republic Day, which he warmly accepted. We have invited Egypt as a guest country during our G20 presidency this year.
