Chandigarh, March 9 (IANS) Unidentified men on Monday looted over Rs.1.34 crore from the cash van of a private bank in a village near Mohali town in Punjab, 20 km from here.
Police officials said the robbers waylaid the Axis Bank's cash van at Saneta village and hijacked it after over-powering the guard in broad daylight.
The van was later found abandoned at Durali village, a few kilometres away.
Senior police officers rushed to the spot. Police teams have been formed to trace the culprits.
