Ruckus in Parliament on the issue of illegal Indian immigrants returning from America, Congress said- why is the government silent

104 Indians who had entered the US illegally have returned to their homeland. On Wednesday, a US military plane carrying these Indians reached Amritsar (Amritsar Airport).

Congress MP Gogoi said that there have been reports of these individuals being shackled and treated humiliatingly during the deportation process, which raises serious concerns about their human dignity and rights.

 

He also said that while the immediate issue relates to the treatment of our citizens abroad, it also reflects broader concerns about India's diplomatic stance on human rights. Gogoi said that the continued silence of the Indian government, especially the lack of any concrete response from the Prime Minister, has been noticed domestically and internationally. Congress, CPE, TMC, and AAP MPs created a ruckus on this issue in the Rajya Sabha.

 

People from these states were deported from America.

 

Among those returning from America, 33 people are from Haryana, out of which the highest number of 11 people are said to be from Kaithal district. Among these people from Haryana, there are seven people whose age is less than 20 years. Three women have also returned. Today (February 06) this matter was also raised in the Parliament.
