In today's time, the whole world is troubled by a serious disease like cancer. Many people die due to the expensive treatment of cancer and the non-availability of vaccines. Meanwhile, Russia has made a big announcement to solve this disease, Russia said that it has made a cancer vaccine, which will be available to all citizens for free.
Andrei Kaprin, Director of Radiology Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health, said, this cancer vaccine of Russia will be made separately for different types of patients.
Due to this specialty, its price will be around Rs 2.5 lakh. Russian citizens will get this vaccine for free. However, Kaprin has not given any information about when the rest of the countries of the world will get this vaccine.
Cancer vaccine will be launched in 2025
The Russian Health Ministry has announced that it has made a vaccine against cancer which will be administered free of cost to cancer patients in Russia from the beginning of 2025.
According to the Russian state-owned news agency TASS, Andrei Kaprin, general director of the Radiology Medical Research Center of the Russian Ministry of Health, gave information about this vaccine on the Russian radio channel.
At the same time, Director Andrei Kaprin said that the vaccine has proven effective in preclinical trials. This has slowed down the growth of tumors and has reduced them by up to 80%. This vaccine is designed through a special program based on the data of the tumor cells of the patients.
The vaccine will be effective in 48 hours.
Veronika Svortskova, head of Russia's Federal Medical Biological Agency, has explained the way the vaccine works with melanoma (skin cancer). First of all, a sample of cancer cells is taken from the cancer patient.
After this, scientists sequence the genes of this tumor. Through this, the protein formed in the cancer cells is identified. After identifying the protein, a personalized mRNA vaccine is made. The cancer vaccine is given to R orders the body to make T cells.
These T cells attack the tumor and destroy cancer. After this, the human body starts recognizing the tumor cell, so that cancer does not return again.
According to cancer expert Elias Sayur of the US state of Florida, the vaccine being made with this technology showed effect for brain cancer in less than 48 hours.
Russia will announce another vaccine.
According to the website of the National Medical Research Radiological Center of the Russian Ministry of Health, two types of research were being done to fight cancer. The first of these is mRNA vaccine and the second is oncolytic virotherapy.
Under this therapy, cancer cells are targeted and infected with human virus modified in the lab. This makes the virus multiply itself in cancer cells. The result is that the cancer cell is destroyed. That is, in this therapy, instead of destroying the tumor directly, cancer cells are destroyed by activating immunity.
The name of the vaccine being made for this therapy is Enteromix. The research cycle of this vaccine has been completed. It may be announced soon.
