Quad countries US, India, Australia, and Japan said on Thursday that the Indo-Pacific region would not be allowed to become Ukraine. Referring to Russia's attack on Ukraine, Kishida said, "We have also agreed that no one should be allowed to unilaterally change the status quo in the Indo-Pacific region." This step is significant towards a free and open Indo-Pacific region. Kurt Campbell, the White House coordinator for the Indo-Pacific, said on Monday that the US would keep its focus on the Indo-Pacific region despite the Ukraine crisis.
