Indian cricket team's opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan is out of the team these days. Even away from cricket, Dhawan's life seems to be full of difficulties. However, in IPL he is the captain of Punjab Kings and will be seen playing in the next season. Dhawan has faced a lot of difficulties in his personal life in recent times.
Following his separation from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee, Dhawan has not been able to meet his son Zorawar in person for over a year. In an emotional social media post on Instagram, Dhawan also claimed that he has been blocked from all virtual platforms through which he could connect with his son.
In October this year, a Delhi court granted divorce to Shikhar Dhawan on the grounds of 'cruelty' meted out to him by his wife Ayesha Dhawan. The court also granted Dhawan mandatory visitation rights to his son in India and Australia. The court also ordered Ayesha to bring her son Zorawar to India. This also included letting Zorawar stay with Dhawan and his family overnight and letting him play with Dhawan and his family during school holidays. However, forgot to meet in person, and it seems Dhawan is not able to connect with his son even virtually.
"It's been a year since I saw you in person and for almost three months now, I've been blocked from everywhere," Dhawan wrote in an emotional post on Instagram. I am posting the same picture to wish my son a happy birthday. Even though I can't connect with you directly, I connect with you through telepathy. I am so proud of you and I know you are doing great and growing well.
Dhawan wrote- Papa always remembers you and loves you. He always remains positive and smilingly waits for the time when we will meet again. Be naughty, but don't be destructive. Be humble and kind, patient and strong.
Dhawan wrote, 'Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day. Ask about your well-being and daily life. Let me share with you what I am doing and what is new in my life. Love you loads Zora.
