External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in the ongoing Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi on Wednesday that India will maintain relations with the world on its terms. India does not need anyone's advice in this. Jaishankar said that instead of keeping the world happy, we should relate to the world based on who we are. The time has passed that the world should tell us about us and we should take permission from the world.

The External Affairs Minister said that India will be the center of globalization in the next 25 years. When we look back at 75 years, we see not only the 75 years that have passed but also the 25 years that are to come. What did we get and what did we fail at? One thing we managed to tell the world is that India is a democratic country.

We don't go to advise anyone

Regarding the Russo-Ukraine war, S Jaishankar said that the easiest and most effective way to stop the war is for both countries to come to the negotiating table. Regarding trade with Russia, the Foreign Minister said that orders like appeals are now getting challenged in Asia.

He said that regarding trade with Russia, we got advice from Europe that we should not do any more business with Russia. At least we don't go to advise anyone.

Jaishankar further said that Europe did not pay any attention to the threats posed by China in earlier times. Europe was showing negligence even when Beijing was threatening Asia. Along with this, he said on the border dispute with China, is an area where the boundaries are not yet fixed.

What is Raisina Dialogue?
