Open challenge to ED for the first time: Jharkhand CM Soren first said - if you have courage, then arrest, then asked for 3 weeks

Posted on 4th Nov 2022 12:55 pm by rohit kumar

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was called by the ED at 11.30 am on Thursday for questioning in the illegal mining and money laundering case, but he did not turn up. On the contrary, he gave a direct challenge to the investigating agency and said - if you have committed a crime, then what to do? If you have the courage, arrest and show it. He alleged that there is a conspiracy to topple the Jharkhand government from Delhi.

After the warning of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) responded to the summons of the ED. If sources are to be believed, it was said from the Chief Minister's Office – Hemant Soren has not reached the ED office today due to his busy schedule. Hemant Soren has sought 3 weeks from ED to appear.

In fact, amidst the political stir in the state, a gathering of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers had started at the CM House since morning. Soren said these things only while addressing him. This is the first time that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been directly challenged by someone. Here the security of the ED office has been increased regarding the question and answer from the CM.

1. Raj Bhavan and ED office became the hideout of the opposition

Hemant Soren in his 29-minute speech only attacked the central government. He said- there is a conspiracy to topple the Jharkhand government from Delhi. People of the BJP sometimes resort to CBI, sometimes to ED, and sometimes to court. Sometimes he spends the night in Raj Bhavan and sometimes in the ED office. They think that if they send them to jail, we will be scared. The security of his office is being increased.

2. If we get down on ourselves, they will not find a place to hide their faces

Soren said that if I have committed a crime then what to inquire? If you have the courage, come and arrest them, but they do not know that if we go down on ourselves, they will not find a place to hide.

3. BJP people can't even pluck our hair

Soren further said that the people are with him and those who are dreaming of toppling the Jharkhand government, they will not be able to spoil our hair. Our government will complete its term. JMM gets stronger by heating up with the situation. Their politics is to burn the bread, those who are trying to bake it.

4. The rule of Jharkhand is will continue in the state, not of outsiders

He said- BJP people do not want tribals, and Dalits to ever move forward. Their thinking is feudal. These people are showing their power with the help of central agencies. They are trying to crush the Adivasis and Dalits. Now the rule of Jharkhandi's will run in this state, not of outsiders. I appeal to the tribals of Gujarat not to vote for BJP in this election.

conspiracy to destabilize the government

Last evening, the meeting of the ruling party legislators at the Chief Minister's residence lasted till late at night. Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over the meeting and all aspects were discussed. After the meeting, many leaders including Congress state president Banna Gupta termed the entire incident a conspiracy of the BJP. Alleged misuse of investigative agencies.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren also said in Sahibganj yesterday, ED is probing the matter at the request of the opposition. Coming out of the meeting, Banna Gupta said, we are all united and will go to the public court. Will expose the conspiracy to destabilize the state government.

Accused of taking 88 decimal stone mining lease

Senior BJP leader and former CM Raghuvar Das had accused CM Hemant Soren of misusing the post on February 10 this year. He claimed by showing documents that Hemant had taken the lease of a stone quarry in Anegada in his name and had hidden this information in the affidavit given to the Election Commission.

Since the CM is a government servant, it is illegal to take a lease. Also, it is a violation of the People's Representatives Act, of 1951. On February 11, BJP leaders met the Governor and demanded that Chief Minister Hemant Soren's assembly membership be abolished. BJP had alleged that CM Soren, while in office, had taken 88 decimal stone mining leases in Angada, Ranchi. BJP alleges that this is a violation of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act (RP) 1951. The Governor had sent this complaint of BJP to the Election Commission.

After this, Governor Ramesh Bais sent the complaint to the Election Commission and sought suggestions. The Election Commission started hearing it and sent notices to the complainant BJP and Chief Minister Hemant Soren asking them to present their side.

The Election Commission completed its hearing this month. Now it is discussed that the commission has sent its suggestion to the Governor. So the ball is now back in the governor's court.
