Center to set up PM Shri Schools: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said that the central government is planning to set up PM Shri Schools, which will aim to prepare students for the future and this is part of the new National Education Policy (NEP). the laboratory will be Pradhan was addressing a two-day National Conference of Education Ministers that began in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

 

In his address, the Union Education Minister Pradhan said that we are in the process of setting up PM Shree Schools, which will be fully equipped to make the student's future-ready. He said that these state-of-the-art schools would act as laboratories for NEP 2020.

Pradhan said that school education is the foundation on which India will become a knowledge economy. He said that we cannot deprive our new generation of 21st-century knowledge and skills. I am inviting suggestions and feedback from all states and union territories and the entire educational ecosystem to create a futuristic benchmark model in the form of PM Shri Schools.

Appealing to focus on the implementation of the New National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that we all have to work together, and learn from each other's experiences and successes so that the process of learning becomes more efficient. The Union Education Minister said that the 5+3+3+4 approach of the new education policy includes the transition from pre-school to secondary school, Early Childhood Care and Education Program (ECCE), teacher training, and emphasis on adult education, skilling with school education. Integration and prioritization of development etc. Providing an opportunity to learn in the mother tongue is also a big step to prepare global citizens for the 21st century.
