The saint community, concerned about the declining population rate of Hindus in the country, will decide the roadmap for the future after deep deliberation in the Maha Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj. It will be decided how the Hindu community should be encouraged to have at least two to three children. Along with this, pressure will be put on the central and state governments to make a policy related to this.
Saints from the South and Northeast have been specially invited.
This topic will be prominent in the Sant Sammelan to be held in this year's Maha Kumbh and the meeting of the Guidance Board and Management Committee of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). VHP has specially invited saints from the South and Northeast for these important meetings. This campaign is also important for the Hindu community because according to the recent report of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (EAC-PM), the share of the Hindu population in the country has decreased by 7.82 percent between 1950 and 2015. During the same period, the share of the Muslim population increased by 43.15 percent.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has also expressed concern over the declining birth rate of Hindus. On a scientific basis, he said that the population growth rate should be a 2.1 replacement ratio, if it is less than this then it is a big danger for the society. According to him, every Hindu couple should have two to three children.
The issue of barbarism on Hindus in Bangladesh will also be raised.
The meeting of the Central Guidance Board of VHP will be held on January 24 in Maha Kumbh, while the meeting of the Guidance Board is on January 25 and 26. The Central Management Committee meeting is on February 7 and 8. In the meeting, mainly the stay of saints in Scheduled Caste and Tribe-dominated areas, night stays, joint dinners along other programs will be decided. Along with the strategy of the organization for the coming years, burning issues of the country and abroad including barbarism on Hindus in Bangladesh will also be discussed.
TDP president also in support of the issue NDA ally TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has also shown seriousness on this issue and has said that we should consider making laws to encourage large families and reverse the old anti-population measures.
"If India's population keeps decreasing, the number of young people keeps decreasing and the number of old people keeps increasing, then how will we take the country into a new era? If the population growth rate is 2.1 replacement ratio, then the population will be stable. This problem is more serious in the South. This is a sure proof of India's population decreasing, it has to be stopped immediately. Therefore, saints will consider it in Maha Kumbh. My opinion is that every house should have two or three children. - Alok Kumar, International President, VHP"
