
The number of active cases of Covid in India has increased to 3,961. The Union Health Ministry released data on Monday stating that four deaths have occurred in the country due to Covid in the last 24 hours. One patient each has died in Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Kerala since Sunday.
There have been 32 deaths due to Covid in the country since January this year. Amidst the increasing cases of Covid, health experts said that there is no need to panic, as the infection is not serious. Cases are increasing due to new subvariants NB.1.8.1 and LF.7, but most of the patients are in home care. This time there will be no burden on hospitals due to Covid. However, caution should be taken to avoid Covid.

47 new cases of Covid have been reported in Delhi, taking the total number of active cases in the national capital to 483. The number of cases in Kerala has increased to 1,435. Maharashtra reported 21 new cases of Covid, taking the state's active cases to 506. 44 new cases of Covid have been found in Bengal. The number of active cases in Bengal has increased to 331.
No need to panic due to increasing cases
Dr. Harshal R. Salve, Additional Professor, Community Medicine Center, Delhi AIIMS, said, there is no need to panic. However, the surveillance system needs to be strengthened to control the Covid wave in the initial stage.
Dr. SK Chaudhary, Chief Superintendent of Motilal Nehru Hospital, Prayagraj has also said that there is no need to panic due to increasing cases of Covid.
