The ban on women driving in Saudi Arabia was lifted just four years ago. Now very soon the women of this place will be seen driving the bullet train. This dream of women is going to come true under the Vision-2030 of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

 

Saudi Arabian Railways (SAR) itself has given information about this. Along with this, a video of these women bullet train drivers has also been shared. The first batch of 32 women completed the training. His first appointment has been made in the bullet train running between Mecca and Medina.

We are proud that we got this opportunity.

 

After the training, now the women in this batch will be seen running the bullet train on the 453-kilometer-long Harman High-Speed Line. This line connects Mecca and Medina.

In recent times, Saudi women have played an important role in improving the country's economy and now this trend is getting stronger. This is also important because, before 2018, women were not even allowed to drive here.

 

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman launched Vision 2030 in 2016. Its purpose is to reduce the dependence of the country's economy on oil.

 

  Under this, many such programs are being run, in which women also have a big stake. Now apart from government offices, many women are working in the private sector as well. His stake in the education sector has also increased rapidly.

 

At the beginning of 2022, 30 bullet train driver vacancies were removed for women. Later it was reduced to 32. 28 thousand women had applied for these 32 vacancies.

 

Last year, for the first time, women took part in the camel 'Ships of the Desert competition in Saudi Arabia. There was a prize of crores of rupees in this competition organized in Riyadh. 40 women took part in it.

 

According to a Brookings Institution report, in 2018, women employed in Saudi Arabia were 20%. At the end of 2020, this figure increased to 33%.
