History was made last night when 14-year-old Indian American student Harini Logan won the title in her first spell-off match at the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Harini Logan was once dropped from the Scripps National Spelling Bee but then brought back. Let us tell you that Harini was face to face with 12-year-old Vikram Raju in the match. It is a format in which contestants are tested on how many words they can pronounce correctly within 90 seconds.

Harini Logan, 14, of San Antonio, Texas, won a $50,000 prize from the win. This prize money is provided additionally from Merriam-Webster and Encyclopedia Britannica. While 12-year-old Vikram Raju from Denver won the second-place prize of $25,000.
21 out of 26 words were correctly pronounced
She missed four words in a tough match against Vikram Raju, but there was one word in her that won her the title. Harini spelled 21 words out of 26 correctly, while Vikram spelled 15 out of 19 words correctly.
