A shocking case has come to light in Kerala. Here a 17-year-old girl gave birth to a child at her home. The shocking thing is that the girl delivered the baby by watching YouTube, while her parents did not even know about her pregnancy. The police have arrested her 21-year-old boyfriend.
The case is of the Mallapuram district of Kerala where the girl gave birth to a child on October 20. The girl's blind mother came to know about the baby three days after the delivery. The girl remained locked in her room for three days after delivery. Due to infection after delivery, she had to come out of the room with the child, from where both the mother and child were taken to the hospital.
21-year-old neighbor boy is the child's father
The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) informed the police about this pregnancy. Police investigation revealed that a 21-year-old boy living in the girl's neighborhood got her pregnant and advised her to cut the umbilical cord by watching YouTube at the time of delivery.
Parents did not know about pregnancy
The CWC has expressed surprise as to how the mother did not come to know about the pregnancy of her daughter while living in the same house. Police said that the mother cannot see and the father is a security guard, so they stay out of the house at night. The mother kept thinking that the daughter keeps the door of the room closed to study in online classes. Police said that the accused boy from the neighborhood took advantage of the situation in the girl's house.
