The Income Tax Department has claimed tax evasion of 20 crores after 3 days of raids at 28 locations including Mumbai, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jaipur, Delhi, and Gurugram. IT claims, "Investigation has revealed that Sonu Sood raised non-profit funding of 21 crores from foreign donors, which violates the law governing such transactions.

Income Tax Department has told that an infra company in Lucknow was raided. The Mumbai-based actor has a partnership in this company and this company has evaded income tax on a large scale. Raids were conducted at the company's locations in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Gurugram, and cash worth Rs 1 crore 8 lakh was recovered during the raids. 11 lockers have also been found. The Income Tax Department also suspects the transaction of Rs 175 crore of this company. The investigation of this matter is ongoing.
