In the match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings batted first and scored 165 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved the target by losing four wickets in 18.1 overs.
Aiden Markram (50) and Abhishek Sharma (37) played a special role in helping Hyderabad win easily. Pat Cummins praised Abhishek Sharma after the match and even said that he would not like to bowl to him.
