The World Bank has said that to ensure essential items such as medicines, cooking gas, fertilizers, food for school children, and financial assistance to poor families in Sri Lanka, the already issued credit facilities for Sri Lanka in its portfolio are as per the need. making changes.

 

The World Bank has said that an amount of US $ 160 million has now been released to ensure the availability of essentials in Sri Lanka. Apart from this, there are also separate runs in Sri Lanka to ensure basic facilities, delivery of medicines and food, and tuition discounts to school children.

 

It has also been said on behalf of the World Bank that we are trying to ensure that the people of the country get the maximum benefit from the public welfare works in coordination with other allies engaged in relief work in Sri Lanka.
