On Monday, the Supreme Court once again reprimanded Madhya Pradesh government minister Vijay Shah for his statement on Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The Supreme Court said that we are not ready to accept the minister's apology in this matter.

The court further said, "You are a public face. An experienced leader. You should weigh your words before speaking. We should play your videos here. This is an important issue for the army. We have to be very responsible in this matter."

The Supreme Court has also constituted an SIT in this case. Three senior IPS officers have been included in it. There will also be a woman officer among them. All these three officers will be from outside Madhya Pradesh and will investigate the minister's statement against Colonel Sofia Qureshi.

Minister Shah apologized twice, but it did not work out.

When the statement given by Colonel Sofia Qureshi caught fire, Minister Vijay Shah publicly apologized twice. The minister said - If anyone's feelings have been hurt by his statement, then he is heartily apologetic. Sofia Qureshi has done her duty towards the country, and her contribution is beyond caste, religion, or community. He respects her more than a real sister. Shah said that the purpose of my statement was to present Sofia's contribution in a positive way to society, but in a disturbed state of mind, some words came out wrong, due to which he is distressed and embarrassed. Even after the minister apologized twice, this matter has not calmed down.

From the High Court to the Supreme Court, a reprimand has been given.

The protest against the controversial statement given by Minister Shah intensified, and a demand was made to register a case against him. In this case, Madhya Pradesh High Court Justice Atul Shridharan and Justice Anuradha Shukla took suo motu cognizance. During the hearing, Minister Shah was severely reprimanded. Making a harsh comment on behalf of the court, his statement was described as fatal like cancer. The High Court said that Minister Shah has used gutter language, which is unacceptable. The court directed the DGP to register an FIR against the minister. After this, a case was registered against Vijay Shah by Mhow Police late on Wednesday night. In the next day's hearing, a copy of the FIR was presented, on which the court raised questions. The court reprimanded and said that the language of the FIR is written in the interest of the minister, meaning an attempt is being made to save him. The court gave instructions to improve the FIR, and also ordered that the investigation of the case be done under the supervision of the High Court.

The Supreme Court also reprimanded

On Thursday, Vijay Shah approached the Supreme Court and demanded a stay on the FIR, but Shah was reprimanded here as well. The Supreme Court said - You are in a constitutional position, you should realize your responsibility. Being a minister, what kind of language are you using? At the same time, the Supreme Court also reprimanded the content of the FIR. The Supreme Court said that the language of the FIR is written in such a way that it will be canceled if challenged. The Supreme Court also ordered to improvement of the FIR and that the High Court should monitor the police investigation.

BJP can take a decision on Vijay Shah's future in the party

It is believed that only after this hearing, the central leadership of the party can take a final decision on the future of Minister Shah. This whole matter has created a complex situation in front of the organization.

According to sources, Minister Shah has asked the party leadership for a guarantee of security of his political future. However, Shah has been refusing to resign since the beginning of the matter. Shah says that he has already expressed regret over his statement and has also apologized. He says that despite this, if someone is demanding resignation, then tell on whose orders should he resign and what will be his political future?

Opposition on the offensive, adamant on the demand for resignation

Congress and other opposition parties are demanding the removal of Vijay Shah from the post of minister. After the FIR was registered, the opposition parties have intensified the protest. Congress workers demonstrated at various places in the capital Bhopal. Party MLAs went to Raj Bhavan and met the Governor and demanded the immediate dismissal of Minister Shah from the cabinet. The opposition alleges that the minister's irresponsible statement on a sensitive issue has not only insulted the armed forces but has also hurt social harmony.
