Tamil Nadu Budget 2023-24 live updates: The Tamil Nadu government presented the budget for 2023-24 in the assembly on Monday and said that the revenue deficit has come down from around Rs 62,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore due to reform initiatives.
Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan said that due to the unprecedented and difficult reforms undertaken, we have reduced the annual revenue deficit by about Rs 62,000 crore. He said this is despite several 'massive welfare schemes' being implemented during the last two years.
