Allahabad High Court has refused to stay the arrest of IT company manager Manav Sharma's mother-in-law, father-in-law, and two sisters-in-law who committed suicide after being harassed by his wife. This order was given by the court of Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi and Justice Prashant Kumar while rejecting the petition challenging the FIR filed by Manav's wife Nikita's father Nripendra Kumar Sharma, mother Poonam Sharma, and her two sisters. This has increased the trouble of Nikita and others. Meanwhile, the police are conducting raids.
Defence Colony resident Manav Sharma hanged himself in the house on the morning of 24 February. Making a video with the noose around his neck, Manav Sharma said - I will go away, someone should talk about men, the poor are very lonely. In the video, Manav held his wife Nikita Sharma and her parents responsible for the suicide. On 28 February, Manav's father Narendra Kumar Sharma filed an FIR against Manav's wife Nikita, her father Nripendra Kumar Sharma, mother Poonam Sharma, and her two sisters. Since then, all of them have absconded from home.
Advocate gave this argument.
The advocate of the petitioners argued that the allegations made in the viral video of Manav are only against his wife Nikita. No allegations have been made against the in-laws. The viral video is not mentioned in the FIR lodged by Manav's father. Therefore, the crime of abetting suicide against the in-laws does not stand.
Sister said, trust in police action.
Manav's sister Akanksha says that she has full faith in police action. The accused should be arrested. There is sufficient evidence against them. She has handed them over to the police. Now the accused should be arrested soon.
