
From Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning, 160 mm of rainfall was recorded in Gurugram. Due to so much rainfall in 24 hours, the roads turned into ponds. Heavy rainfall occurred in almost the entire district, due to which waterlogging occurred in many places in the new and old cities. The situation was such that even after midnight, people were stuck in traffic jams for hours on the main roads of the city, including the Delhi-Jaipur highway.
According to the report released by the Meteorological Department, 138 mm of rainfall was recorded in Gurugram tehsil, 153 mm in Wazirabad, 160-160 mm in Kadipur and Harsaru sub-tehsils, while 99 mm in Badshahpur, 42 mm in Sohna, 44-44 mm in Manesar and Farrukhnagar, and 28 mm in Pataudi.

The situation worsened in many areas of the city due to heavy rain. Vehicles crawled due to waterlogging on Sheetla Mata Road, Sector-10A, 37D, Subhash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, and Sohna Road. The situation was even more serious on the highway, where trucks, buses, and cars were stuck in several kilometer-long traffic jams.
