NDA has chosen Narendra Modi as its leader. He can take oath as PM on 9th June at 6 pm. This time BJP has not got a full majority, so Modi Government 3.0 is going to run with the help of TDP and JDU. It is worth noting that BJP, TDP, and JDU have their views on many issues.
During the election campaign, BJP leaders opposed Muslim reservations, but TDP's opinion on this issue is different from BJP's. Before the NDA meeting, when TDP leader K Ravindra Kumar was asked if Muslim reservation will continue in Andhra Pradesh, he said, "Yes, we will continue it. There is no problem."
Many issues will be discussed in the NDA meeting: Ravindra Kumar
He also said, today there is an NDA meeting. The initial meeting was held on 5th June. Today is the second meeting. In the second meeting, some help will be taken from NDA allies. After that, a meeting of NDA MPs is also expected. PM is expected to take oath on 9th June, so before that we have to submit the necessary request to the President, we will discuss this issue-wise.
What did Ravindra Kumar say about TDP's demands?
When the TDP leader was asked what the demands of TDP were going to be, he said that today was not the right time to talk on this issue.
When asked about TDP's demands, party leader K Ravindra Kumar said, "Today is not the platform to discuss demands but we are a part of NDA. There is no question of demand. This is a pre-election alliance."
He further said, "When the time comes, the demands will be discussed. Whenever there was a need, we used to take the help of the Center. We used to take advantage of the schemes of the Center. Our first objective is to take Andhra Pradesh on the path of development."
BJP fell short of a majority
NDA has 293 MPs, which is much above the majority figure of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha. Senior BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda, are also holding discussions with allies to work out an amicable formula for their representation in the new government, which will depend on them for survival.
