Telangana: Government's decision- Muslim employees will be able to take a leave one hour earlier during Ramzan, BJP opposed

The Telangana government made a big decision given the month of Ramadan. Under this, a special exemption has been given to all Muslim government employees, teachers, contract employees, outsourcing, and public sector employees of the state during the entire month of Ramadan.

 

Under the government order, these employees have been allowed to go out of their offices and schools from March 2 to March 31 till 4 pm. However, instructions have also been given that if the work of an employee is more required, then they will have to stay in the office. This order has been issued by Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari.

In a letter written by Shanti Kumari on February 15 on the matter, it was told that the Telangana government has given a special exemption to all Muslim government employees, teachers, contract and outsourcing employees, boards, corporations, and public sector employees working in the state during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

BJP surrounded the decision of the Reddy government

This decision of the Telangana government is as good news for Muslims across the state. However, this decision has been criticized by the BJP. BJP leader Amit Malviya called this order an attempt to please the Muslim community. He said that Hindu employees do not get any such exemption during Hindu festivals like Navratri. He called it vote bank politics and talked about protesting.

 

At the same time, senior BJP leader P Muralidhar Rao also accused the Chief Minister that he is giving priority to a section of the society. He said that the exemption being given to Muslim employees during Ramzan was not given during Navratri or Jain festivals, which is not a respect for religious practices but a part of vote bank politics.
