The last 12 months have seen a sharp jump in jobs related to 5G and telecom. According to a report, the reason for this boom is that telecom companies want people to adopt 5G technology faster.

According to international job websites, 5G and telecom-related jobs have seen a 33.7 percent increase between last year and this September. Soumitra Chand, the career expert at Indeed India, said companies had already started hiring people to develop 5G technology and services. Companies are rapidly adopting 5G. This will increase the demand for such jobs in the next quarter as well. Along with this, the demand for skilled talent will also increase in work like designing security systems and building networks for 5G technology.

Increased employment in cyber security

The report also shows that due to Corona, companies have provided work-from-home facilities. This has increased the demand for better management of cyber security. According to the data, there has been an 81% increase in job postings for cyber security between August 2019 and August 2022. Between August 2019 and August 2022, there was a 25.5% talent shortage in cyber security jobs. In such a situation, the launch of 5G services will lead to a big jump in security-related jobs.

American company Microsoft is the latest example, which has fired people due to fears of an economic slowdown around the world. Along with this, the company has banned new recruitment.

This layoff will affect about one percent of Microsoft's total workforce. Let us inform you that as of June 30, the total number of employees of Microsoft is 2 lakh 21 thousand.
