How many people have been vaccinated so far
If we talk about the figures till Wednesday, more than 6.43 people have been vaccinated by Corona till now. According to Wednesday evening's report, 6,43,58,765 people have been given vaccine doses so far in the country. According to the report, 82,47,288 health workers have been given the first dose of the vaccine while 52,38,705 health workers have been given the second dose of the vaccine. Similarly, 91,34,627 personnel of the frontline have been given the first dose of vaccine while 39,23,172 frontline personnel have been given the second dose of vaccine. The first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine has been given to 3,00,39,599 people over sixty years of age. 86,869 people in this age group have been given the second dose of the vaccine.
Vaccine to people over 45 years of age from today
Immunization campaign of people above 45 years has started in the country today i.e. from April 1. Till now, only the elderly over 60 years and those above 45 years who have serious diseases were being vaccinated. But today i.e. from April 1, now people above the age of 45 years also started getting vaccinated. The government has recently taken this step intending to vaccinate a large population at the earliest. Now any person who is more than 45 years of age will be able to get a vaccine dose. People can also register online for vaccination and get vaccinated by going to the hospital.
Outcry in the country from corona
Here, the number of infected in the country increased to 1,22,21,665 after 72,330 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in India in a day. These are the highest cases of infections reported this year. Earlier, on October 11, 2020, 74,383 new cases were reported in one day. According to the latest figures, the death toll rose to 1,62,927 after the deaths of 459 more patients. After 116 days, there have been so many cases of death due to infection in one day.
As per the data, the number of under-treated patients has also increased to 5,84,055, which is 4.78 percent of the total cases, with new cases increasing continuously for the last 22 days. On February 12 this year, the number of under-treated patients was the lowest at 1,35,926, which was 1.25 percent of the total cases. So far, a total of 1,14,74,683 people have become infection-free in the country and the recovery rate of patients is 93.89 percent. At the same time, the death rate from Covid-19 is 1.33 percent.
On August 7 last year, the number of infected people in the country was 20 lakh, on 23 August 30 million, and on 5 September more than 40 lakh. At the same time, the total cases of infection were 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November, and on 19 December, these cases had crossed one crore.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 24,47,98,621 samples of Covid-19 were tested in the country as of 31 March. Of these, 11,25,681 samples were examined on Wednesday. According to the data, out of 459 people who died in the last 24 hours from Covid-19 in the country, 227 in Maharashtra, 55 in Punjab, 39 in Chhattisgarh, 26 in Karnataka, 19 in Tamil Nadu, 15 in Kerala, Delhi, and North. There were 11-11 people of the state.
According to the ministry's data, a total of 1,62,927 people have died due to the virus in the country so far, of which 54,649 in Maharashtra, 12,719 in Tamil Nadu, 12,567 in Karnataka, 11,027 in Delhi, 10,329 in West Bengal, 8,811 in Uttar Pradesh, There were 7,217 people from Andhra Pradesh and 6,868 people from Punjab.
