227 people died on Thursday across the country due to severe heat and heat waves. Out of these, a maximum of 164 deaths occurred in UP. At the same time, 60 people also died in Bihar. A maximum of 20 deaths occurred in Aurangabad district. This is the first death in Delhi. The laborer who died had a 107-degree fever. Two deaths also occurred in Haryana.

 

So many deaths in UP

 

A maximum of 72 deaths in UP occurred in Varanasi and surrounding districts. At the same time, 47 deaths occurred in the Bundelkhand and Kanpur divisions. Out of these, 14 deaths occurred in Mahoba, 13 in Hamirpur, five in Banda, four in Kanpur, two in Chitrakoot, and one each in Farrukhabad, Jalaun, and Hardoi. Apart from this, 11 died in Prayagraj, nine in Kaushambi, six in Jhansi, four in Ambedkarnagar, four including a newborn in Ghaziabad, three in Gorakhpur, and Agra, one each died in Pratapgarh, Rampur, Lakhimpur, Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit.

 

Faridkot @48.3 degrees, hottest in the country

Faridkot of Punjab and Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan were the hottest in the country. The maximum temperature here was 48.3 degrees. The mercury in Bulandshahr of UP was 48 degrees. At the same time, the mercury was recorded at 45.6 in New Delhi and 47.3 degrees Celsius in Noida. The maximum temperature was 45 degrees or more at 41 places in the country. Pilani in Rajasthan recorded 47.6 degrees Celsius, Sangaria in Hanumangarh recorded 47.2 degrees Celsius, Churu recorded 47 degrees and Phalodi recorded 46.8 degrees Celsius. The mercury was recorded at 46.8 degrees in Bikaner, 46.1 degrees in Jaisalmer, 46 degrees in Alwar, 45.9 degrees in Dholpur, 45.3 degrees in Jaipur, and 44.5 degrees Celsius in Kota. The maximum temperature in Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, was recorded at 44.9 degrees Celsius.

 

Monsoon reaches Kerala, and knocks in the Northeast too

The southwest monsoon has knocked in Kerala two days before the scheduled time. Usually, the monsoon arrives here on June 1. The monsoon has also reached the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur and Assam.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the monsoon to reach the capital Delhi by June 27.
