New India: New resolutions emerged from Sadhana; Our governance model is an example for the world

My dear countrymen, one phase of the biggest festival of democracy was completed on June 1. There are so many experiences, so many feelings of spiritual journey in Kanyakumari for three days. I am feeling a flow of immense energy within myself. I got the opportunity to sit at the feet of Mother India in Kanyakumari. In the initial moments, the noise of elections was echoing in my mind. Countless faces seen in rallies and road shows were coming in front of my eyes. My eyes were getting moist... I was going into nothingness, entering into sadhana. In a few moments, the voices and words of political debates, attacks, and counter-attacks... accusations automatically disappeared into nothingness. The feeling of detachment in my mind became more intense... my mind became completely detached from the outside world. Such sadhana is difficult amidst such big responsibilities, but the land of Kanyakumari and the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda made it easy. I had come here leaving my election as an MP at the feet of the voters of Kashi. Amidst this detachment, peace, and silence, thoughts for the bright future of India, for the goals of India were constantly flowing in my mind. The rising sun of Kanyakumari gave new heights to my thoughts, the vastness of the ocean expanded my thoughts and the expanse of the horizon made me feel the oneness that is deep in the universe. It seemed as if the thoughts and experiences done in the lap of the Himalayas decades ago were being revived.

Friends, this place of Kanyakumari has always been very close to my heart. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari...this is our common identity that is deeply embedded in the heart of every countryman. Kanyakumari is the land of the confluence of confluences. The holy rivers of our country meet in different seas and here those seas meet. And here another great confluence is seen - the ideological confluence of India! Here, along with the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, there is a huge statue of Saint Tiruvalluvar, Gandhi Mandapam, and Kamarajar Mani Mandapam. These streams of thoughts of great heroes create a confluence of national thinking here. This gives rise to great inspiration for nation-building. Kanyakumari gives an indelible message of unity to those who doubt India's nationhood and the unity of the country.

Friends, Swami Vivekananda had said - Every nation has a message to deliver, a mission to fulfill, a destiny to reach. India has been moving forward with this spirit for thousands of years with meaningful objectives. India's independence also inspired and strengthened other countries, that attained independence. We also have the example of the difficult period of Corona in front of us, when apprehensions were being expressed about poor and developing countries, but India's successful efforts encouraged and supported many countries. Today, India's governance model has become an example for many countries of the world. The emergence of 25 crore people out of poverty in just 10 years is unprecedented. Innovative experiments like Pro-People Good Governance, Aspiring District, and Aspiring Block are being discussed in the world today. From empowerment of the poor to last-mile delivery, our efforts to give priority to the person standing in the last row of society have inspired the world. India's Digital India campaign is an example for the whole world today of how we can use technology to empower the poor, bring transparency, and give them their rights. Cheap data in India is today becoming a medium of social equality by ensuring the poor's access to information and services. The whole world is looking at this democratization of technology from a research point of view and big global institutions are advising many countries to learn from our model.

After the success of G-20, the world is accepting India's role more vocally. Today India is being accepted as a strong and important voice of the Global South. It was on India's initiative that the African Union became a part of the G-20 group. Friends, this form of new India fills us with pride and glory, but it also makes 140 crore countrymen realize their duties. Now, without losing a single moment, we have to take steps towards bigger responsibilities and bigger goals. We have to dream new dreams. We have to see India's development from a global perspective, and for this, we must understand the inherent strength of India.

The 21st century world is looking towards India with great expectations today. To move ahead in the global scenario, we will have to make many changes. Our reforms should also be in line with the resolution of a developed India by 2047. That is why I put forward the vision of reform, performance, and transformation. The responsibility of reform lies with the leadership. On that basis, the bureaucracy performs, and then when the public joins it, we see transformation taking place. To make India a developed India, we will have to make excellence our basic sentiment. We will have to work rapidly in all four directions - speed, scale, scope, and standards. We will have to emphasize quality along with manufacturing; we will have to imbibe the mantra of zero defect-zero effect. Friends, we should be proud that God has given us birth in the land of Bharat. We will have to redefine our heritage in a modern way by adopting ancient values in a modern form. We will also have to refine outdated thinking and beliefs. We have to take our society out of the pressure of professional pessimists. Freedom from negativity is the first medicine to reach success. Success grows in the lap of positivity.

Let us dedicate the next 25 years only and only for the nation. These efforts of ours will remain immortal as a strong foundation of new India for the coming generations and centuries to come. Looking at the energy of the country, I can say that the goal is not far now. Come, let us walk fast...let us walk together, make India develop.
