The high-level discussion of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly will begin on September 24. According to the list of speakers released by the United Nations on Monday, the Indian head of state will address on September 26. Let us tell you, that Modi, who was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for a historic third term last month, has previously addressed the annual high-level UNGA session in September 2021.

Notably, this is not the final list. The United Nations releases an updated provisional list of speakers in the weeks before the high-level session, so that information can be given about the presence of leaders, ministers, and ambassadors, the program, and every kind of change in their speaking time.

 

The general discussion will run for so many days.

The general discussion will start on September 24 and will run till September 30. According to the list, the President of Brazil will be the first speaker. Traditionally, the US is the second speaker on the first day of the general debate and President Joe Biden is expected to deliver his last address in office. At the same time, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will present his report before the debate begins, after which the President of the 79th session of the General Assembly will address the assembly.

 

Summit for Future conference will also be held.

 

Guterres is also organizing an ambitious Summit for the Future at the United Nations Headquarters this week, under which the action day will be held on September 20-21 and the summit on September 22-23. World leaders will gather at the United Nations to adopt a future agreement, which will include a global digital agreement and a declaration on future generations.

 

The United Nations said, 'This summit is a high-level event that will bring together world leaders to build international consensus on how we can improve the present and protect the future.'
