Delhi Police has arrested the accused who wrote a threatening message to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal at the metro station.

33-year-old accused Ankit Goyal had written a death threat to CM Kejriwal at the metro station. The Metro Unit of Delhi Police had registered an FIR and was investigating the matter.

Threats were written at Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations.

The accused is being interrogated as to why he did this. It is known that on May 19, a threatening message was written for CM Kejriwal at Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations. Police have also recovered CCTV footage of the accused writing the message. It is believed that the accused did such acts and posted them on his social media account to become famous.

According to sources, accused Ankit Goyal is a resident of Bareilly and is not associated with any political party. The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday accused the BJP of conspiracy and sought time from the Election Commission for a meeting on the issue. The Metro Unit of Delhi Police was registering an FIR and investigating the matter.

The accused had written inside the metro train, "Kejriwal leaves Delhi. Please. Otherwise, you will have to remember the three slaps you took before the elections. Now you will get the real slap."
