Protests are not stopping in Bengal, BJP and Congress will hold a rally in Kolkata today; TMC will also protest

Political turmoil continues over the case of atrocities against a trainee doctor (Kolkata Doctor Rape Murder Case) at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. BJP and Congress are constantly trying to surround the Mamata government.

 

What is BJP's plan?

 

On Wednesday, the BJP announced the Bengal Bandh. During the bandh, there were reports of clashes between TMC and BJP workers at many places. On Thursday (August 29), the BJP will continue to protest against the Mamata government. BJP is going to protest in Kolkata today. The party said that the protest would be peaceful.

 

BJP state president and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar has announced a protest from August 29. He said that party workers will protest on Thursday at Esplanade Y Channel. On August 30, the party's women's unit will surround the State Women's Commission office.

 

TMC will also protest

 

On the other hand, the BJP is trying to surround the Mamata government. At the same time, in the foundation day program of Trinamool's student wing, CM Mamata Banerjee announced that the student union is going to protest at the gate of every college on August 30 demanding the death penalty for the criminals. Dharna and rallies will be organized on August 31, while on September 1, women including girl students will sit on a day-long dharna demanding the death penalty for the accused in the RG Kar Medical College case and amendment in the existing laws.

 

Congress will also take out a rally today

Congress is also preparing to take out a rally in Kolkata today. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will take out a rally from College Square to Shyam Bazaar today. This rally of Congress will start at 2 pm.
