The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has issued comprehensive guidelines to ensure the safety, convenience, and well-being of pilgrims during the pilgrimage. The Board has appealed to all pilgrims to plan their journey in accordance with official weather warnings, track conditions, and security updates.

This information is available on the Shrine Board's official website, www.maavaishnodevi.org, and its verified Twitter handle, @OfficialSMVDSB. Pilgrims are advised to compulsorily register at the enrollment counters before embarking on the pilgrimage and obtain an RFID card.

Carry light luggage, wear comfortable, sturdy shoes, and carry essential items such as water, light snacks, a valid ID, and prescription medications. Pilgrims are urged to use only designated routes, follow announcements made on public broadcasting systems, and cooperate fully with Shrine Board staff, police, and security forces, especially in the event of temporary halts or route diversions.

The Board has clarified that pilgrims should not travel during heavy rain, landslide alerts, or other adverse weather conditions. They should avoid shortcuts, rest near landslide-prone areas, and disregard unverified social media messages.

Pilgrims are also requested to maintain discipline, drink adequate water, and rest at designated shelters to avoid fatigue during the steep climb. For any assistance or information related to the pilgrimage, pilgrims can contact the 24x7 general helpline number 1800-180-7212.
