To give a befitting reply to the expansionary Chinese salute-slicing strategy in the northern border area, the Indian Army has found a new cut. Now the Indian Army is insisting on launching mountaineering expeditions, ski expeditions, and research studies to curb China's infiltration efforts in its empty areas so that the world can know that these areas are legitimately Belongs to India.
According to the news of the Times of India, it will begin by organizing a large ski expedition from the Karakoram Pass, considered sensitive in Ladakh to Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand. This ski expedition will start on March 3 and will be spread over a radius of around 1500 km.
According to a senior officer, "It is necessary to give a strong answer to China's expansionist policy." Although the army has deployed additional forces on the northern borders, but it is also necessary that we give evidence of our presence in the vacant areas by mountaineering or other expeditions.
According to the official, at the same time, in areas adjacent to Line of Actual Control ie LAC, and International Boundary (IB), India will have to insist on studies by research scholars here to protect their area so that this research is published in international journals. This will help not only these areas in documents but also in geotagging.
The ski expedition, commencing 3 March, is named 'ARMEX-21'. It will start from Karakoram pass and reach Lipulekh pass in 80-90 days, it is adjacent to LAC in Ladakh, Himachal, Garhwal, and Kumaon sectors. Specially trained personnel will be deployed for the campaign.
According to another official, soon the Indian Army along with the Indian Mountaineering Foundation and other mountaineering institutes will launch several operations on LAC and IB to increase the movement of people here. Tourism will also get a boost due to increased movement in these far-flung areas and people living here will also be able to become a part of the mainstream.
Let us know that the ski expedition is starting at a time when the soldiers of India and China have retreated to end the 10-month-old deadlock in Ladakh.
What is Salute Slicing Policy?
China has been following the salute slicing strategy for a long time. Under this, he is conducting small, covert military operations against neighboring countries, which last a long time. These military operations are so small that they cannot be called a war but they have the same results as a war. They are also helpful in large military gains, as well as due to small operations, they do not remain in the particular headlines.
