Covid-19: 25 thousand new cases of corona in China, partial lockdown in Beijing

The situation has become serious since 25,000 new cases of the corona were reported in China. These include more than 500 cases found in the capital Beijing. Authorities in Beijing have asked residents to stay in their homes and undergo daily tests. Businesses have been closed in Beijing's Chaoyang district. Only some limited services have been restored. The owner of a restaurant said that the authorities have asked them to remain closed for three days from Saturday. A large office in the nearby Dongcheng district said residents of Chaoyang would not report to work from Monday and staff would be reduced.

 

Beijing officials are making efforts on a war footing to contain the Omicron variant. The capital is also at risk from this variant spreading to other cities. During the last two years, due to the spurt in the cases of corona in the cities, the lockdown was implemented, due to which life got disturbed. The supply has come to a standstill and it has had a bad effect on the people.
