The reason for this is the rain and snowfall in Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. In Rajasthan, the temperature of 6 cities has been recorded at minus and the mercury of 2 cities has been recorded at zero degrees.

 

At the same time, the mercury has reached 3 degrees in 12 districts of Punjab. Because of this, these districts remained the coldest. 15 trains running late in the Northern Railway zone due to fog.

 

Delhi: Cold wave and fog alert for 6 days

 

After a day's respite, the cold again increased in Delhi. Delhi's Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. Whereas, Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 6.0 degrees Celsius at 5.30 am. Cold waves and dense fog alerts have been issued in Delhi for the next 6 days.

 

In the last two days, the temperature of the capital has dropped by 9 degrees. Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 1.4 degrees on Monday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave will continue in the capital from 16 to 18.

 

Rajasthan: For the first time the temperature of 6 cities is minus, cold wave will haunt us for 2 more days

 

The most severe winter of this season is going on in Rajasthan. A weak Western Disturbance is likely to approach the state on January 18 to 19. Due to this people will get some relief from the cold. On Monday, the temperature of 6 cities was recorded at minus and the mercury of 2 cities was recorded at zero degrees. This season, 8 cities together have never witnessed such a low temperature.

 

The mercury was -6 degrees in Mount Abu, -4.2 degrees in Jobner, -3.7 degrees in Fatehpur, -2.5 degrees in Churu, -2.0 degrees in Sikar, -1.4 degrees in Karauli, while Bhilwara and Alwar recorded zero degrees. . Due to the cold wave, dew drops froze in the fields in many areas including Churu, Sikar, Bikaner, Jaipur.

 

Uttar Pradesh: two more days of severe cold, it may rain between 20-24

 

Severe cold is continuing in many cities of Uttar Pradesh, which will continue for 2 more days. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of a cold wave in some areas on Tuesday. Light rain may occur in some parts of the state from January 20 to 24. This will increase the fog, but it will not see any significant effect on the temperature.

 

Till January 18, the weather will remain cold in the state. There is a possibility of improvement in the weather from January 19. The minimum temperature in Kanpur was 2.6 degrees on Monday. Apart from this, the minimum para was recorded below five degrees in 13 districts.

 

Madhya Pradesh: Mercury reaches below 3 in 4 cities, winter may be less than 18

 

Winter has increased in Madhya Pradesh as well, but soon people here can get relief from the cold. New Western Disturbance is coming from the 18th. Due to this, a cyclonic circle will form over Rajasthan. At the same time, between January 22 and 23, there may be a drizzle in Gwalior, Chambal, and Sagar of the state. Although the mercury climbed 0.8 degrees to reach 20.9 degrees during the day. The mercury was recorded below 3 degrees in Gwalior, Datia, Naugaon, and Rajgarh. The night temperature dropped to 5 degrees Celsius or below in 9 areas.

 

Himachal: Mercury reaches minus in 10 cities, snowfall may occur on January 18

 

Dense fog will prevail in 7 districts of Himachal Pradesh, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Solan, Sirmaur, and Mandi on Tuesday. There is a possibility of a cold wave in these areas. There is a possibility of snowfall and rain on 18 January. The mercury has reached minus in 10 cities. On the other hand, it is snowing in Kufri in the Shimla district. Due to this, the tourists visiting here are looking very happy.

 

Bihar: Severe cold day in 12 districts today, fog and cold wave alert in 38 districts

 

According to the Meteorological Department, today there will be a severely cold day in 12 districts of Bihar and a cold day in the capital Patna. A yellow alert has been issued for fog and cold waves in 38 districts of the state. With the weather remaining dry over the state, a high-pressure area persists. There is a possibility of severe cold conditions in 14 districts including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, and Nawada on January 18. During this, there will be dense fog in the state, while the temperature can drop from 3 to 7 degrees. Cold winds will increase the problems of the people.

 

The minimum temperature decreased in 18 cities on Monday. Barring Kishanganj, Forbesganj, and West Champaran, the minimum temperature remained below 10 degrees Celsius across the state.
