18 CBI officials claim to have raided
This statement of former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede has come in response to the raids conducted on his residence and other premises on Friday. He has alleged that 18 CBI officers had raided his house on the previous day. During this, his wife and children were present in his house.
Sameer Wankhede further claimed that the CBI officials also took possession of his wife Kranti Redkar's phone. Besides this, the CBI recovered Rs 28,000 from the house of his sister Yasmin Wankhede and Rs 28,000 from the house of his father Dnyaneshwar Wankhede. Apart from this, 1800 rupees have also been recovered from Wankhede's father-in-law's house Sameer.
Wankhede's allegation – getting rewarded for doing patriotism
On the CBI raids and all the allegations against him, he said, "I am being rewarded for being a patriot, yesterday 18 CBI officials raided my residence and searched for more than 12 hours. They found 23 1000 rupees and papers from four properties were found, these properties belonged to me before joining the service.
CBI action in corruption case
The CBI on Friday carried out searches at 29 locations across the country following the alleged corruption case against former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede and three others linked to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case. The CBI has registered a case against former Mumbai NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and three others in a corruption case related to the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case.
The agency has raided 29 locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh). Significantly, Wankhede had raided Cordelia Cruz and arrested actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in an alleged drug case.
