As the liquor shops opened, crowds of people gathered to break the lockdown. Social distancing is also not being followed. People were seen queuing up on police contracts cutting challans for lockdown violations. As soon as liquor shops opened in many districts including Noida-Ghaziabad, a huge crowd of people started gathering there. People are coming to the shops to buy liquor by putting on masks. A person is buying multiple bottles.
Amid the epidemic, liquor shops were opened in Hapur and Varanasi today. As per official orders, shops will be open in Varanasi from 7 am to 1 pm. As soon as liquor contracts opened in Rampur, there was a long queue. On exiting the Corona curfew, a line of policemen cutting the challan was seen.
According to the order, liquor and beer shops will open from 10 am to 7 pm. Corona guidelines will be followed completely when purchasing alcohol. At the same time, apart from Noida, liquor shops are also opening in Ghaziabad from Tuesday itself. To follow social distancing, the administration has asked to make a circle at a distance of 6 feet outside the shops. The canteen will not be opened at the shops. Liquor shops may open in some other districts of UP from Wednesday.
