Uttarakhand: Piplisari village of martyr Harendra Singh, the body did not reach the village due to road closure

There is mourning in village Pipalsari of Gurtheta Gram Sabha of Rikhnikhal tehsil of Harendra Singh, who was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in the Poonch area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday, at present, the body of the martyr has not reached his native village. The mortal remains of the martyr have been kept in the Rikhnikhal Hospital due to the closure of the road.

The mother of the martyr is in weeping bad condition. The martyr's father is a retired soldier from the army. He is also saddened by the martyrdom of his son, but he is hiding his pain in his chest. The mortal remains of the martyr were brought to Lansdowne Army Headquarters on Sunday evening by a special aircraft from Rajouri to Jolly Grant and then by a special army vehicle.


On Monday morning, the body was to be brought to the village for the last glimpse. But his body could not reach the village till noon due to the closure of the road due to rain. After this, the last rites of the martyr were to be performed with military honors at the ancestral ghat of the village itself.

Body brought to Jollygrant airport by special plane
Naik Harendra Singh (35), son of Naik Harendra Singh (35), resident of Pipalsari village of Block Rikhnikhal, was posted in the 16th Garhwal Rifles. Presently he was on duty in the 48 RR Regiment of the Army in the Poonch area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir. Naik Harendra Singh was martyred in an encounter with terrorists on the night of 15 October.

The mortal remains of the martyr were brought to Jolly Grant airport by a special aircraft from Rajouri. From where the body of the martyr was brought to the Garhwal Rifles Headquarters Lansdowne on Sunday evening from a military vehicle. Martyr's mother Sarojini Devi and father former soldier Chhawan Singh Rawat live in their native village Peepalsari, while his wife Lata Devi lives in Gadhicant, Dehradun with both children.

Everyone reached the village on Sunday morning. The martyr's father Chhawan Singh Rawat told that the information about his disappearance was given by the army on Friday. The information about his martyrdom was given to him late on Saturday evening, but Harendra's mother was informed about it only on Sunday morning. Since then the mother's condition is bad.
