Till 8.30 am on Sunday, 42 mm of rain was recorded in Delhi in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 44.2 mm was recorded in the Lodhi Road area. Due to rain, the maximum temperature of Delhi on Sunday was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius, which is 3.2 degrees Celsius less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.0 degrees Celsius, which was 7.5 degrees Celsius less than normal.

 

Yellow alert in Delhi

 

According to the center, the heat and humidity in Delhi had made people miserable till Saturday. Delhiites heaved a sigh of relief as soon as the weather changed in the evening. The department has issued a yellow alert for the next three days. Light or moderate rain is predicted throughout the week.

 

According to the center, it may remain cloudy on Monday. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, and strong winds with lightning may occur during the day. The wind speed is expected to be 40-50 kmph. At the same time, the speed of winds can reach 60 kmph with thunder at night. During this time, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be around 36, and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees Celsius. The Center has issued a yellow alert in Delhi till June 18. While relief from the heat is expected by June 21.

 

Strong winds also blew in Delhi-NCR.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain with thunderstorms was recorded in Delhi-NCR between 2:30 am and 4:30 am on Sunday. Safdarjung recorded 33.5 mm of rain, Lodhi Road 32 mm, and Pusa 27.5 mm. Wind speed at Palam airport reached 56 kmph at 4:30 am, reducing visibility from 4,000 meters at 2 pm to 1,500 meters at 3 pm. Winds blew at 80-100 kmph in many areas. The minimum temperature was recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius and humidity was 68 percent. The rain also improved the pollution level and the air quality index was recorded at 142 at 9 am, which falls in the moderate category.

 

The temperature dropped by two degrees in Gurugram... but the scorching heat continues.

People are in very bad condition due to the scorching heat that has been continuing in the district for the past week. Hot winds have been blowing since morning with the maximum temperature reaching 43.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum 31 degrees. Now on Sunday, due to strong storms and light rain, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 41.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the district has dropped by two degrees, but people have not gotten any relief from the scorching heat.

 

According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of rain, due to which the temperature may drop to 37 to 38 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI of the district has been recorded at 304 which falls in the very poor category.

 

Weather will change in Faridabad from today till June 18

 

There is a possibility of change in the weather in the entire area including the city. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be variable between Monday and June 18. During this time the sky will be partially cloudy and there is also a possibility of strong winds with thunder and light rain at some places.

 

Possibility of storm and rain

 

Although there is no hope of relief from the scorching heat at the moment, partial coolness can be felt in the changed weather. Weather experts say that this change in weather will be seen due to western disturbances and local effects. During this time the maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 to 42 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be between 27 to 31 degree Celsius.

 

Wind speed will change.

 

Wind speed is also likely to increase during this period. It is estimated that the winds will blow at a speed of 4 to 12 kilometers per hour. This can provide some relief from humidity. The heat wave blowing with hot winds is also expected to ease somewhat. The Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious, especially appealing to avoid going out in the open during the afternoon.
