Safdarjung recorded 33.5 mm of rain, Lodhi Road 32 mm, and Pusa 27.5 mm. Wind speed at Palam airport reached 56 kmph at 4:30 am, reducing visibility from 4,000 meters at 2 pm to 1,500 meters at 3 pm. Winds blew at 80-100 kmph in many areas. The minimum temperature was recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius and humidity was 68 percent. The rain also improved the pollution level and the air quality index was recorded at 142 at 9 am, which falls in the moderate category.

Weather experts say that this change in weather will be seen due to western disturbances and local effects. During this time the maximum temperature is expected to be between 36 to 42 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be between 27 to 31 degree Celsius.

Wind speed is also likely to increase during this period. It is estimated that the winds will blow at a speed of 4 to 12 kilometers per hour. This can provide some relief from humidity. The heat wave blowing with hot winds is also expected to ease somewhat.
